Hi there! We are South Downs Strings (Formerly, Accordi String Quartet).  I hope our name gives you a clue as to where we are based.  We are lucky enough to live and work in the South Downs area.  Drawing on nearly 20 years experience, we provide live music for all sorts of events.

Weddings make up most of our performance work and we love being part of our clients' wedding days.  However, our diary is full of all sorts of events including birthday parties, garden parties, charity events and corporate events.

In addition to performing at live events, we undertake studio recording work with a number of composers and performers.  We're happy to discuss any project that you might need strings for.

Our players have the highest playing standards and have performed with some incredible artists in some equally incredible venues across the world.  For example, Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds,  The Bootleg Beatles, Ghost - The Musical, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Andrea Bocelli, Aled Jones, Emeli Sande, Lana del Rey, London Concert Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Venues we have performed at include Gravetye Manor, Wotton House, Ashdown Park Hotel, Hartsfield Manor, The Naval & Military Club, One Great George Street, The Wallace Collection, Altitude 360, Bury Court Barn, The Ravenswood, Highley Manor, All Saints' Chapel, Cowdray House, Balcombe Place and Goodwood House.
